The riding trails at CMC are diverse and scenic, from riding through mountain parks ringed by cliffs to riding along the top of the Cimarron Ridge with one hundred mile views in all directions.
The Cimarron Range rises abruptly just south of Silverjack Reservoir and looms over the Cimarron Valley. Three separate forks of the Cimarron River flow out of the wilderness and there are horseback riding trails up each.
For Owners who want to participate in a riding program, CMC will keep a string of trail horses and tack in the summer and fall. Owners may also keep horses on their own parcels. Shawna Stephens, one of the Club’s resident Mountain Hosts, is an experienced horsewoman and riding instructor who will head up our riding program.
Overnight pack trips into the Uncompahgre Wilderness are also available to Owners.
